Greening, Arthur. The Better Yarn.

Greening, Arthur. The Better Yarn.

London: Jarrold, 1919.

First edition. 8vo. 236pp. Bound in publisher’s buff cloth titled and decorated in red and black to spine and front board (as detailed by the mighty George Locke, and to all intents and purposes the primary binding). Internally clean, although of poor paper quality, ink ownership to flyleaf. A pretty little book, strong, solid and bright. A pocket sized collection of humour and ghost stories told in part by a rather rollicking group of dead monks in the basement of a pub.
